A protective atmosphere is usually required to prevent oxidation or decarburization during the process.

The AIR LIQUIDE ALNAT™ solutions are based on nitrogen atmospheres with additions of hydrogen, hydrocarbon (natural gas or propane) or cracked methanol.

In many cases, nitrogen can also be delivered by non-cryogenic FLOXAL™ generator.

AIR LIQUIDE is able to supply complete installations including methanol storage and pumping equipment, flow control panels and safety monitoring.

To be even more cost effective, AIR LIQUIDE has developed the ALNAT™ Endo concept, a flexible ready-to-use atmosphere solution containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide diluted in nitrogen.
