Our recognition of expertise

The Technical Career Ladder (TCL) aims at identifying, developing and recognizing technical excellence. The TCL Career Evolution is a structured and flexible career track providing opportunities for employees to move from the technical to the managerial ladder. The sustainable advantage remains in recognizing experts for a specific domain which reflects the needs of the 7 lines of business.

The experts benefit from exposure both in cross-geographical and in cross-functional. They play a key role in driving and capitalizing their technical knowledge.

The experts are identified according to:

  • The importance of the field regarding the technical area
  • Scope of influence: the ability to influence the community in their field outside and inside Air Liquide at country level, zone level or worldwide.
  • Contributions and achievements in the role as an expert

One of the objectives of the TCL program is focused on sharing expertise by assisting in the facilitation of knowledge transfer through networking with peers of the Group, through short-term assignments and mentoring.

Since its creation in 2003, the TCL has recognized close to 4% of its overall population at both local and international level.
