In the Asia-Pacific zone, the Diversity Program project team ran a major session on men-women parity. Participants from 14 countries attended a conference on the subject.
The participants in this conference had the opportunity to hold discussions with Jean-Pierre Duprieu, manager of the Asia-Pacific zone and member of the Executive Committee. This constructive meeting made it possible to define local goals and to propose intensifying the recruitment of women engineers and improving working conditions for women employees.
Air Liquide already employs about 9,600 women worldwide. In 2007, the number of women among the 500 highest management positions doubled, going from 6 to 12%. “We’re on the right track,” says Augustin de Roubin, Human Resources Director for the Group.
