Being an actor in your mobility

The exchange and sharing of knowledge is a key asset of our performance. These values guide Air Liquide in career management.
The Group’s diversity of businesses and operations everywhere in the world means its employees can work in different jobs and activity sectors. They can also decide to specialize in a specific field: Air Liquide needs experts as well as people with all-around expertise.
The mobility of the Group’s employees is also geographic: the number of expatriates has doubled in 10 years, and stood at over 400 in 2007. These assignments, which last two to four years, are mostly given to young talent with potential to be developed, experts and experienced managers.
Functional and geographic mobility means a change of job or location on average every three years at the beginning of a career, and every five years for experienced employees.
This mobility is decided at an annual interview during which the employee has a discussion with his or her manager on his or her performance evaluation, career development needs over the short and medium term and what actions and training might be required.

Developing your network

Forming relationships at Air Liquide itself allows each employee to create a space for sharing in order to understand all the opportunities the Group offers and to discover the diversity of career paths of your colleagues.
Additional assistance takes the form of programs offered at the Group level that include intensive training sessions for employees at the start of their career, as well as advanced management seminars. These programs are an excellent opportunity for sharing ideas and experience in the Group’s employee network.
