Air Liquide believes that the diversity of its teams must reflect that of its customers and their applications, and favor innovation, dynamism and performance.
Convinced that diversity is the source of creativity and dynamism, Air Liquide practices it in every area: nationalities, men/women, competencies, experience, career paths and so on.
As for the balance of responsibilities between men and women, for example, the efforts Air Liquide has been making for the last several years have borne fruit: women represent nearly 20% of all engineers and managers on the worldwide level and 30% of all new hires in this category.
Discover the commitment to recruiting women with the session dedicated to parity that Air Liquide organized in the Asia-Pacific zone.
With a presence in 75 countries, the diversity of cultures is also a reality: the Group’s 200 executive managers, for example, come from 22 different countries and 85% have international experience. There are also many exchanges organized between subsidiaries in order to favor this international outlook.
In October 2009, Air Liquide signed the Diversity Chart to fight against all forms of discrimination (nationality, gender, age, experience, ethnic origin, education and training). Air Liquide’s commitment, in favor of integrating the disabled people, is right in line with this policy. Other actions are considered, particularly the welcome of the disabled in internships or on a work-based learning, the job retention, the reinforced collaboration with helping working centers, and different actions of sensibilisation. This action is being coordinated on a nationwide level by the Handicap Air Liquide mission.
