Supporting and anticipating growth in the Electronics Market ![]()
Why did you join Air Liquide ?
After many years in Toshiba Japan, I was looking for new challenges to fulfill, something different and more international. I joined Japan Air Gases in 2003 as Head of Procurement and in 2006 was assigned Worldwide Specialty Gases Sourcing Director in Electronics.
What are your current missions ?
The industry of Semiconductors, Flat panels and Photovoltaic is moving at a very fast pace. My team and I have to follow and anticipate our sales teams’ needs by providing them with all the support they might require. This implies helping them promoting the new generation of hot molecules by finding the best raw materials at the most competitive price. It is part of our sourcing strategy to identify potential suppliers all over the world. Quality is vital in our business: we are developing a new set of references to enhance and guaranty the quality of our products.
What are you most satisfied with ?
I feel all our efforts are rewarded when the sales team expresses their satisfaction to us. It really motivates me to find out that my work has helped win more contracts! The French working culture is a very good experience: I have learnt that there are many ways to be efficient and that taking holiday does not alter productivity!
