In a perpetually evolving society (new energy sources, health, clean mobility…), Research captures, analyzes and maps these new territories and their exciting opportunities for growth.
To achieve this, Air Liquide has organized an "Open Innovation" program and is developing new collaborations with its partners in the innovation ecosystem to explore these technological opportunities and market evolutions.
Research and preclinical studies in Parkinson's disease
Grant from the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF):
Inhalation of xenon to reduce the dyskinesia induced by L-Dopa.
First European CO2 storage and capture pilot project
Total Lacq Project: Air Liquide is contributing actively to this CO2 emissions reduction program:
complete CO2 capture and storage chain.
Limiting CO2 emissions from industry
European Ulcos program: Air Liquide is contributing by developing pilot equipment to separate CO2 from blast furnace gases.
Reducing energy consumption: “Paris-Saclay Energy Efficiency” project (PS2E)
Air Liquide is sponsoring the project of institute for the flexibility and energy efficiency of industrial installations combined with urban zones.
The goal is to drastically cut industrial energy consumption and CO2 emissions by adapting the industrial processes to energy intermittence, as well as by optimizing and exploiting the synergies between both urban and
industrial territories.
More competitive solar energy
Air Liquide's Research and Development has invested in a pilot line for photovoltaic cell manufacturing, aiming at the improvement of the performance and production costs of crystalline solar cells.
