X. Drago pour Air Liquide

Air Liquide has been the partner since its beginnings of the Bibendum Challenge (www.challengebibendum.com), an event organized by Michelin and dedicated to “clean mobility.” In 2007, this event will take place in Shanghai on November 13 to 17 and will bring together 120 ecological vehicles. Air Liquide is supplying hydrogen to about 20 vehicles in the Challenge and will set up a hydrogen service station in the automotive exhibition park in Anting (40 km west of central Shanghai) on November 13 to 16 and in Pudong in central Shanghai on Saturday November 17.

Air Liquide will have a booth in Anting focused on two themes: the role of industrial gases in the automobile industry and Air Liquide’s involvement in the hydrogen business.

Moreover, the Group’s representatives will take part in two roundtables, one on “hydrogen and the fuel cell”, the other on “capturing and storing CO2”.

A “press point” will be organized on Thursday afternoon, November 15 in Anting on Air Liquide’s hydrogen station.

Lastly, on November 17, the day open to the public and during which a parade of vehicles in Pudong will take place, Jean-Pierre Duprieu, Senior Vice-Presiden Electronics World Business Line Asia-Pacific and a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, will speak at the forum on “Energy, mobility and the environment”. This will be the occasion for Air Liquide to point out that there are several technologies today that meet the environmental challenges of reducing greenhouse gases to ensure a safe energy supply.
