A habit of sustainable development [ Return towards  Corporate citizenship  ]

Air Liquide’s Sustainable Development approach chiefly concerns the industrial area. The Group is now aiming to extend this approach to employees’ activities at their workplace and during their work-related travel.

The goal is to analyze CO2 emissions generated by employees’ activities and offer innovative solutions to reduce these emissions.

In France, Air Liquide has identified four principal sources of GHG emissions: professional travel by plane and car, commutes from home to work, energy consumption in facilities, and consumables.

To reduce the environmental impact of car travel, the Group is planning to modernize its vehicle fleet in France by integrating low-emission vehicles. Some Group entities are also beginning to offer hybrid vehicles. In addition, to cut back on air travel, Air Liquide is exploring remote collaborative work solutions, including videoconferences and web conferences.
