The Group’s safety performance continued to improve in 2008, with the frequency rate of serious accidents ⁽¹⁾ for Air Liquide personnel falling from 2.1 in 2007 to 1.8 in 2008.

The Group is encouraging its employees and partners to build on this success by sharing good safety practices and demonstrating visible commitment to safety, everywhere and at all times.

The Group works to increase the awareness of its employees to the importance of a strong safety culture. All employees will be trained through group training sessions. In addition, behavioral safety visits (BSV) have become key moments in the professional lives of our working teams.
