In December, as part of its commitment to local communities, Air Liquide launched a partnership with the Junior Achievement association in Houston, Texas.
Junior Achievement supports the education of young people by helping them to learn the basics of business and the economy.
Twenty-eight Air Liquide employees taught 9 to 12 year-olds for one day at the Treasure Forest Elementary School (near Air Liquide’s offices in Houston) with the objective of preparing young people to take part in the global economy. Through activities like constructing model buildings, writing newspaper articles and opening a restaurant, students learned about professions in urban areas, economic activities by region and by types of skills.
Before the big day, Air Liquide volunteers took part in a training session, allowing them to prepare their lesson plan and necessary training materials.
