Air Liquide R&D set up solid relations within the French and German innovation ecosystems. It is now intensifying its collaborations in european ecosystems to grow open innovation on this continent.
CNRS (Paris, France): within the Strategic Agreement renewed in 2013, collaborations are going on with 28 laboratories in France, such as in Limoges, in the field of ceramic materials, with the LRGP, in Nancy, in the field of process engineering and with the IR4M for the study of O2 Helium mixture properties.
CEA (Paris, France): within the Strategic Agreement signed in 2014, 8 collaborations have been launched associating CEA competences in robotics, material modeling, sensors, hydrogen systems with Air Liquide team competences in Industrial & Medical gas systems.
Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle épinière (Paris, France): new medical indications for noble gases are under exploration in in vitro models on neurodegenerative diseases.
Friedrich Alexander University (Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany): development of specific expertise in a Multi-Level Reactor Design (MLRD) method to design the optimal reaction system of a chemical process.
University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria): Polygeneration (hydrogen, Syngas, heat & power production) from wood biomass.
Air Liquide is actively engaged into the Paris Saclay Cluster, participating to two Research Institutes, funding three chairs and being an active member of local thematic networks.
