Established in 1962, Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) is a public university located in Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City, and ranked among the top universities in Vietnam.
On 2nd November, Air Liquide Vietnam organized a career talk at HCMUTE, attended by more than 200 undergraduates from different faculties. The objective of this talk was to introduce Air Liquide as an employer to this potential group of employees.
Besides providing an overview of the Air Liquide Group and the operations in Vietnam, HCMUTE alumni who are now employees of Air Liquide Vietnam, shared their experiences with the students. In addition, the HR team also took this opportunity to introduce to the students Air Liquide’s suite of career development programs such as Altitude Programme, Internship Programme and Summer School Programme that offered vast opportunities geographically and functionally. Mr Kensuke Nakasuji, Managing Director of Air Liquide Vietnam, who was from the Altitude Programme, also shared his experience and addressed various questions from the students. Demonstrating their enthusiasm for the session, the question and answer session was very lively, with many questions from students related to our training programs; compensation policy and career progression in AL.
As a follow-up, Air Liquide Vietnam also hosted a visit to its site at Saigon Hi-Tech Park on 15th November for 13 undergraduates and lecturers from HCMUTE, to assist them to gain a deeper understanding of the production process and working environment.
Feedback had been positive and the HR division will continue to organize such career talks at other tertiary institutions.
