Future Leaders Programme (FLP)
The Air Liquide Future Leaders Programme (FLP) is a structured 2 year programme with 3 rotations for fresh graduates, designed to provide you with high-impact development experiences to enable you to gain a foothold in the ever-changing industrial gas industry.
Hone your business acumen and management skills as you work on challenging assignments and projects that will have a real impact on the business and lives of customers. This exciting programme will comprise of 3 rotations across our different business lines that are a good fit with your interests and skills.
Fresh Graduate with less than 3 years of working experience, specialising in Engineering
Strong interest in an industrial environment and Air Liquide’s business activities
Adaptable, curious, open-minded and looking for a challenge, with good communication skills and leadership qualities

The Earn and Learn Programme (ELP) is a 12 to 18 months long work-learn programme that gives graduates of Polytechnics and ITEs a headstart in their careers relating to their discipline of study. Successful applicants can expect to gain valuable work experience through mentorship and workplace learning as well as a specialised certification at the end of this programme.

This programme is only open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents within 3 years of graduation, or within 3 years of the ORD date.

"I first heard of the SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme (ELP) during my polytechnic days, when I was pursuing a Diploma in Chemical Engineering. When I was accepted into the ELP, my parents were delighted albeit not quite supportive of me working 12 hour shifts. My mother felt that I would be tired out from the long working hours while coping with my studies. It took me some time to convince her that I enjoyed what I was doing and it was not such a tiring job as she imagined it to be. After seeing how passionate I am about my job, she is now a big supporter of my job and would often asked how my day at work was.
It has been an enriching experience in Air Liquide and I get to learn new skills and challenge myself to outdo my expectations. My supervisor and colleagues have never failed to give me moral support and answers to my never ending questions about work. They would also show me how to perform the tasks efficiently and allowed me to have hands-on exposure under their supervision.
Ever since I embarked on this journey, I have gained a deeper understanding of the industry and the job nature. I am inspired to continue this career path where I see myself working as an Engineer."

Local Internship Programme
The Air Liquide Local Internship Programme is a platform to allow students to work alongside our professionals with extensive knowledge in their field to develop both soft and hard skills in the workplace. Students with exceptional internship performance will get a chance to be sent overseas for part of their internship period, or participate in Air Liquide Group’s Summer School programme in Paris.

“My internship as an Operations Engineer with the GlobalFoundries Tank Farm team was both enriching and exciting! Under the supervision of my team lead, I was able to spearhead process improvement projects and partake in the daily operational works at the plant. "The Summer School Programme was the highlight of my 6 month internship at Air Liquide. This trip was truly eye opening as it furthered my understanding of Air Liquide’s business model on a global scale.
Throughout the programme, I was privileged to have attained insight into the business activities of Air Liquide as the various business lines shared topics on their functions, contributions, future prospects and career opportunities. It was also heartening to learn about Air Liquide’s heavy emphasis and array of projects launched to support local communities, empower less-developed countries and push for the green agenda.
During this programme, I witnessed and visited sites which showcased the innovative and futuristic characteristics of Air Liquide. Together with my cohort, we toured the Air Liquide R&D (Research and Development) Centre, iLAB - the research centre that creates innovative business projects, as well as hydrogen charging stations for hydrogen-powered vehicles at the heart of Paris.
Finally, to wrap up the programme, I had an exciting opportunity to work in international teams with my cohort by presenting a business case to the Senior Management. This experience was enriching as I interacted and worked extensively alongside different nationalities. Through the exposure to direct input from the Senior Management and thought-provoking discussions with my teammates, my internship stint at Air Liquide was extraordinary."
"The Air Liquide Summer School Programme, which was held at the Head Office in Paris, had given me the opportunity to better understand Air Liquide’s business and its operations around the world. Besides presentations and site visits, we were also given a business case study to promote the Air Liquide Foundation to both internal and external stakeholders.
Everyone was divided into teams and I had the opportunity to work with interns from Poland, Saudi Arabia and South Korea. We had to present our proposal to a panel consisting of members of the Foundation and staff coordinators for the Summer School. It was an interesting experience for me as we had to “sell” our ideas to the panel, in order to get their buy-in.
The Programme was an eye-opening experience for me and I am thankful to Air Liquide Singapore for providing me with this once-in-a lifetime opportunity. The memories and experiences that I had gathered during this trip will stay with me for life.

"I began my career in Air Liquide as a Chemist in 2008 and today, I am a Manager for our Electronics Quality Department. I enjoy working here because I am able to work with a diverse group of people as well as being involved in different projects. In 2015, I did my internship with the Electronics division and was honoured to be selected for the Air Liquide Summer School. Upon graduation, I came onboard as a Management Associate and have since completed my two job rotations as a Project Engineer in Engineering Projects & Solutions division and a Product Engineer in Industrial Merchant division.

"The belief that women are less adept at engineering is unfounded. In Air Liquide, female and male engineers are given an equal platform to showcase our talents. I started my career in Air Liquide as an intern back in 2011 and was selected for the International Internship Program (IIP), where I was privileged to work in Paris within the Healthcare division.
After graduation, I joined as an Operations Engineer to manage one of our Air Separation plants. Even though it is a male-dominated industry, I work alongside passionate colleagues who are willing to share their knowledge. 2) I am a foreigner. Can I apply?
Yes, we hire locals and foreigners. You must be a fresh graduate with no more than one year of work experience.
3) What is the application process?
To ensure that you are the right fit, we put applicants through a three-stage selection process where we shortlist individuals at each stage:
- Online Application
- Panel Interview
- Assessment Centre
4) When will I be notified of the results?
We will contact all shortlisted candidates at each stage of the application process. As we receive numerous applications, only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
5) Will I be able to choose my preferred role or business line for my rotation?
You can indicate your preferred role or business line. We will keep your career aspirations and preferences in mind, subject to business needs.
6) What happens after the programme?
You will be posted to a full time role in a business line based on the company’s needs and your interests and potential.
7) When can I apply for the FLP?
You can apply throughout the year but the programme begins in Q3 of each year.
8) I am studying overseas now. Can I still apply for the FLP?
Yes, but if you are shortlisted, you will need to be in Singapore for the interviews.
