Partnership with AGL Energy Limited to reduce CO2 emissions
Air Liquide has announced that it has partnered with AGL Energy Limited (AGL) to recover carbon dioxide (CO2) at AGL Torrens Island power station site in Adelaide, South Australia. The new Air Liquide plant will be the only one capturing carbon dioxide from a power station for the benefit of the CO2 market in Australia.
Air Liquide Australia expands its presence in Australia through a €60m investment
Air Liquide has announced a new long-term agreement in Australia with Nyrstar, an integrated mining and metals company. Air Liquide will invest €60 million in a new state-of-the-art air separation unit (ASU) as part of the Nystar’s Redevelopment Project at its Port Pirie site. This project is designed to convert Nystar’s smelter into an advance polymetallic recovery and recycling facility, in order to reduce the environmental footprint of the site and to enhance both efficiency and production capabilities.
