The project, initiated by one of the largest design firms in the Netherlands, the Joris Laarman Lab, combines design, robotics and additive manufacturing. Air Liquide is working with the teams in several fields of expertise: gas supply, arc welding and Research & Development.

The path taken by MX3D is not the only road travelled by Air Liquide. Its R&D teams also work on other procedures to manufacture objects that have been impossible to make until now such as laser fusion of metal with the FAIR project.

Gas supply and additive manufacturing are two fields of expertise where Air Liquide is currently advising industrial companies and mentoring them in the implementation on their facilities.
