Air Liquide in Germany

60 years after its foundation, Air Liquide came to Germany in 1962, Entering the market with technical gases for industrial customers.

Today, Air Liquide Europe Head Office is located in Frankfurt. Here you also find the worldwide leadership teams of the Large Industries World business line and the Engineering & Construction World business unit, as well as the Innovation Campus Frankfurt, one of the key Research & Development centers of Air Liquide Group worldwide.

The headquarters for the industrial and medical gases business in Germany is located in Düsseldorf, close to the Ruhr area - one of Europe’s key industrial bassins. The German home healthcare business is managed from Hamburg.

Air Liquide Deutschland (ALD) supplies around 100,000 customers from all industries, small and medium-sized businesses, with technical gases, specialty gases and gas mixtures, as well as patients at home and hospitals. Overall, Air Liquide has about 3,750 employees in Germany.

VitalAire Germany was founded in 2000 through a merger of several companies. In 2004, the company entered the liquid oxygen business. In 2011, the portfolio had already expanded with the business areas Respiration, Infusion and Out-of-Hospital Intensive Care. VitalAire cares for more than 190,000 patients throughout Germany. The company employs 1,650 people at more than 45 locations.

With Engineering & Construction, Air Liquide has a strong foothold for plant engineering in Germany, supporting its customers throughout the entire project life-cycle by offering cryogenic and catalytic process plants. E&C is delivering innovation for a sustainable world enabling customers to optimize the use of natural resources through E&Cs industrial gas, energy conversion and gas purification technologies..
