Air Liquide has committed to an industrial chair in Canada, for a five year term, in order to develop innovative new technologies around hydrogen.
The world of energy is undergoing great change and hydrogen represents one of the solutions to meet the challenges of sustainable mobility: reducing greenhouse gases and local pollution in towns, and reducing the dependence on fossil fuels.
Air Liquide has committed to an industrial chair for a period of five years in collaboration with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières (UQTR). The work carried out during this chair will essentially be focused on the development of innovative technologies for the storage, transportation, and purification of hydrogen, in order, notably, to reduce their costs.
This partnership will also enable the training of experts qualified in the field of hydrogen since, when it is over, young students will present three doctoral theses and five master’s theses.
Energy and the environment are two of the Group’s growth drivers.
