Air Liquide continues to grow its global footprint while translating its climate ambitions into action. Whether entering new markets, testing breakthrough technologies with industrial partners, or securing its own renewable energy at scale, the Group implements concrete solutions to serve its customers.

NovaAir: Expanding industrial gas capabilities

Air Liquide is strengthening its presence in India with the acquisition of NovaAir, a leading full-service industrial gases company active in East and South India serving key sectors such as steel, automotive, fabrication, electronics, photovoltaic and healthcare. Finalized in December 2025, this acquisition complements the Group's existing operations in North and West India, while strengthening our ability to serve both small enterprises and large industrial players in a fast-growing market.

Deploying hydrogen-powered logistics in the Netherlands

Air Liquide has deployed its first hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks for logistics, integrating two "MAN hTGX" vehicles operated by Schenk Tanktransport to deliver hydrogen across the greater Rotterdam area. Supported by the Dutch SWiM public subsidy for hydrogen mobility, the trucks use hydrogen internal combustion engines, can carry 56 kilograms of hydrogen at 700 bar, and offer an operating range of up to 600 kilometers.

Testing hydrogen use in cement production

In Turkey, Air Liquide is supporting Limak Cement in pioneering oxygen and hydrogen fuel tests at the Polatlı Ankara cement plant. A mix of hydrogen and alternative fuel has been successfully injected into the kiln's inlet combustion chamber. This demonstrates the technical feasibility of a 50% carbon neutral fuel in high-temperature industrial manufacturing. The project also showcases how innovation can pave the way for a low-carbon hydrogen ecosystem in hard-to-abate sectors.

Each "first-of-its-kind" trial highlights what's possible when technology and expertise come together to tackle industry challenges. Together with Air Liquide, we're not just paving the way for cleaner, alternative energy sources but also setting an example for sustainable manufacturing on a global scale.”

Sourcing renewable power for industrial operations

In Secunda, South Africa, where Air Liquide operates the world's largest oxygen production site, the Group is advancing an ambitious decarbonization roadmap combining equipment modernization, process optimization, and renewable power sourcing. Together with its partners, Air Liquide has secured in 2025 nearly 700 MW of renewable electricity through power purchase agreements (PPA), including 400 MW dedicated to its operations. This will reduce the Group's annual CO₂ emissions by more than 1.2 million tonnes.
