Air Liquide's operations in the United States date back to 1968. Today, Air Liquide in the U.S. is comprised of two main entities.

With its headquarters in Houston, Texas, Air Liquide USA manages the Large Industries (Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Metals), Electronics and Hydrogen Energy activities.

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. single-source supplier of gases, welding equipment and supplies, and safety products headquartered in Radnor, PA. Founded in 1982 and acquired by Air Liquide in 2016, Airgas operates Air Liquide Group’s Healthcare and Industrial Merchant activities in the United States. Serving multiple industries, Industrial Merchant activity includes standard and premium gases, innovative supply modes, process solutions, services and more.

The Group has also capabilities in the field of Engineering & Construction and can also rely on its Delaware Innovation Center.

In total, Air Liquide has more than 20,000 employees in the U.S.
