François Darchis joined the Air Liquide Group in 1981 and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Innovation and Development. He also supervises Information Technologies, the Industrial Merchant business line and the Group's Corporate Sustainability Program.
His career with Air Liquide began at the Paris-Saclay Research Center (France), where he was a member of the Cryogenic production development team. In 1988, he led a strategic study on industrial customers.
He moved to Air Liquide America Corporation in 1989 as Director of Strategic Planning. Returning to France in 1992, he was responsible for developing the on-site business (FLOXAL™) and then setting up the Corporate Industrial teams.
In 1997, he became General Manager of Large Industries for France and then for Europe.
In 2000, he was appointed Vice President of both Large Industries Europe and worldwide Engineering.
François Darchis has a degree in civil engineering.
He has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2002.
