Let’s help them run!

This is the name of the association created this year by Air Liquide employees in France who are mobilizing once again for the Telethon.

For the 19th consecutive year, Air Liquide employees in France are getting ready to take part in the Telethon that will take place December 5 and 6, 2008, to contribute their support to this national collection operation promoting research to fight against myopathies and genetic illnesses.

As each year, the teams of the different Air Liquide teams across France are mobilizing during the whole week of December 1 to 6 to collect the maximum number of donations via several relay races on foot and bicycle through several departments. For the 2008 Telethon, two teams have been formed – one leaving from Lyons, the other from Rouen – to arrive at the Air Liquide Group’s corporate headquarters in Paris on Friday, December 5.

Air Liquide is offering helium cartridges to blow up the Telethon balloons and supplying cryogenic equipment to preserve cells and tissues at the Généthon (the Telethon laboratories) and the Myology Institute.

This operation carried out by the Group’s employees is designed to contribute to research on genetic illnesses and is fully in line with Air Liquide’s social and human commitment.
