Air Liquide mobilizes for the Telethon 2009

For the 20^th straight year in a row, Air Liquide employees are mobilizing for the Telethon by holding a fundraiser in the Group’s establishments throughout France.

Through “Laissons-les courir” - Let’s Help Them Run -, an association created by employees in 2008, Air Liquide is once again rallying to support the Telethon, to take place on December 4 and 5, 2009.

As part of this event, employees will be running, bicycling or roller skating during a 24-hour non-stop relay at the Air Liquide site of Bussy St Georges (France) to collect the maximum amount of donations for the Telethon.

For many years, Air Liquide has been supplying Généthon (the laboratory of the Telethon) and the Myology Institute with cryogenic equipment to preserve cells and tissues. The Group also provides helium cartridges to inflate Telethon balloons.

Organized by the Group’s employees, this operation is designed to contribute to research on genetic illnesses and is fully in line with Air Liquide’s social and human commitment.
