Every year, over the duration of one week, the Fête de la Science (Science Festival) gives a very young public the chance to learn more about science. This year it is taking place between the 18th and 24th of October.

Air Liquide, the technological Group which innovates every day to provide solutions for the preservation of life and the environment, is partnering the event.

In the Paris region

As part of the “Science près de chez vous“ (“Science near you”) event, set up by Ile de Science in Gif-sur-Yvette (Essonne), researchers from the Group are to run a stand displaying “gases in all of their states”; a series of playful demonstrations involving liquid nitrogen at -196°C. Program available here.

Air Liquide will also partner INSERM (French national institute of health and medical research) during the event organised on the Campus des Cordeliers (in Paris’ 5th arrondissement).

The Group is also going into partnership with the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, on the occasion of the Week-end Gratuit (Free Weekend) from 22 to 24 November.

At the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, Air Liquide will present an exhibition until July 2011 on hydrogen, a clean energy carrier, as part of the Observatoire des Innovations (Innovation Observatory).

In the Rhône-Alpes region

In collaboration with the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research), Air Liquide will participate in an event organised in tribute to Louis Néel, 40 years after he won the Nobel prize. Follow this link for agenda and inscription.
