Air Liquide, winner of the Growth in China Award

Air Liquide received the Growth in China Trophy bestowed by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China.

This award recognizes the French company that has achieved the most remarkable growth in China over the period stretching from 2001 through 2011. Revenue volume, growth rate over the long term and the obstacles overcome along the way are among the criteria considered by the jury, made up of French and Chinese experts, in selecting the winning firm.

Pierre Dufour, the Group’s Senior Executive Vice President, accepted this award in person on October 25 during the awards ceremony.

Air Liquide returned to China in the 1970s to supply Air Separation Units. Today, Air Liquide in China operates more than 60 production plants throughout the country and employs more than 4,000 people.

In the course of the last decade, Air Liquide has achieved growth of 35% a year in China. This performance has propelled the Group to leadership of the industrial gases market in China. Air Liquide is present in the key coastal industrial areas and is expanding into the center, west, south and northeast. Air Liquide has also strong Engineering and Construction capabilities based in Hangzhou and Shanghai.
