Five months after launching its www.all-about-sleep-apnea.com website in English, Air Liquide Healthcare launches a French version. It is a news platform entirely dedicated to sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea syndrome is a sleeping disorder characterized by repetitive brief interruptions in breathing. It is estimated that between 1 and 6% of the global population suffers from it1. It has a direct effect on quality of life and health, and can also lead to serious cardiovascular disorders, like heart attacks or cerebrovascular accidents (CVA).

Although this condition is widespread, around 80% of people concerned are not aware they suffer from it2. As a key player in this disease management, Air Liquide is committed to informing the general public on consequences and syndrome treatment thanks to this new dedicated website.

Aimed at users and patients in France, this site offers a variety of sections with testimonials from patients and medical experts. The purpose is to help better understand the disease and innovate with new interactive educational material for general public and patients.

A Twitter account has also been created to follow all news about the sleep apnea syndrome (Twitter account address: @SleepApneaAbout).
