Air Liquide Japan is pleased to announce the appointment of Virginie Cavalli as its new Representative Director, President and CEO, replacing Shiro Yahara who is retiring from the Board after 5 years as CEO. Virginie will assume the position as of November 1, 2019.
Virginie began her career in France with the Air Liquide Group in 1992 as an internal auditor. She was transferred in 1995 to the U.S. to exert the Internal Audit function for the Americas zone. She took on a diverse spectrum of responsibilities across the group from Finance to Operations Control to Region Management. In 2007, Virginie was appointed the Managing Director for Air Liquide in Chile, and in 2011 as Vice-President for the Industrial Merchant Business Line for the Asia-Pacific Zone, based in Singapore. In 2016, she assumed the position as Chief Executive Officer for the Southeast Asia Region, with responsibility for 7 countries.
