Air Liquide Japan launches “GAS-ICHI” e-commerce platform for Japan’s industrial gas business

Air Liquide Japan introduces the country’s first e-commerce site dedicated to calibration gas products. called “GAS-ICHI”, and recently started its operation.

Calibration gases, or standard gases, are widely used for calibrating gas-analyzing equipment at the laboratories of private companies, official entities, and educational institutions. This process requires a diverse range of products, resulting in a relatively long lead time to respond to customer inquiries.

With this problem in mind, “GAS-ICHI” was developed by Air Liquide Japan’s 100% affiliate Air Liquide Kogyo Gas to provide users with a faster and more efficient   digital Interface. Customers can browse the GAS-ICHI catalogue, obtain quotations and purchase any one of the 2000+ mixes available around the clock. Users can refer to their past purchasing record to repurchase easily, and also can make inquiries online regarding gas mixtures not  available in the catalogue.

In Japan, customers seeking calibration gases must use JCSS (Japan Calibration Service System) “standard gases” manufactured by suppliers which have passed the JCSS accreditation process, if the results of such measurements as vehicle emissions, air pollution contaminant level are used for trade or verification purposes.

After obtaining JCSS accreditation, Air Liquide Japan Group, began production and sales of JCSS Standard Gas products in January 2016. The company was also registered as an International MRA Supplier in December 2017, enabling it to issue international certificates. Products meeting those standards are now also available in “GAS-ICHI”.
