How are you contributing to the Group's growth?
Today, we account for 18% of the Group's revenue. For reference, this figure was 16% in 2010, so we are contributing significantly to the Group's growth. There are three business lines in the global healthcare division. The first is home healthcare, which accounts for more than 50% of revenue. The second business in the healthcare division is hospital healthcare, where we supply medical gases and related services to hospitals and healthcare facilities such as retirement homes and dental practices. Finally, the third business is specialty fine chemicals, with specialty ingredients for the healthcare and beauty sectors.
What is your ESG objective?
We actually have two main ESG objectives. The first is to improve the quality of life and care for patients with chronic respiratory and diabetic conditions in developed countries through specialized care programs. The second is to facilitate access to oxygen for populations in low- and middle-income countries such as Africa and Indonesia, where infant mortality is a major problem.
What are your future challenges?
The challenges ahead are indeed considerable, particularly with regard to chronic diseases. Air Liquide Healthcare's response is to work on personalized care for patients in order to provide greater value.
