Air Liquide China recently donated a batch of green recycled computers to Maoshan No.1 Primary School in Maoming, Guangdong Province, where it operates a Joint-Venture company with Sinopec, namely, Air Liquide - MPCC Gases Co., Ltd..
In this information era, computer knowledge and skills are essential to keep pace with the ever-changing world. However, some rural schools are still not able to carry out information course due to lack of equipment. To help those students get access to computers, Air Liquide China initiated “Air Liquide Computer Classroom” programby collecting the internal computers no longer in service yet still in good condition, having them renewed in an environment-friendly manner through its partner Netspring, then, donating the computers to the schools. In addition, the company is also committed to providing the maintenance service and consultation, as well as the ultimate dispose of the obsolete computers. Furthermore, the volunteers of Air Liquide China will visit the children regularly to deliver knowledge on science, safety, environmental protection and other subjects. By doing so, Air Liquide China not only promotes the reuse of these recycled computers, reduces e-waste, but also helps the children acquire computer knowledge and broaden their horizon.
After learning that Maoshan No.1 Primary School was in urgent need of computers, the company reached out immediately to help the school set up a computer classroom, making the students’ computer dream a reality.
