I can enjoy a dual advantage on my Share Savings Plan for my Air Liquide shares.
First, I benefit from a tax shield. By keeping my Share Savings Plan for five years, I am exempt from tax on all profits made.
This means I won't have to pay the 12.8% tax on either capital gains or dividends.
Furthermore, I can benefit from Air Liquide's Loyalty Bonus. To do this, I ask my bank to convert my Air Liquide shares into intermediary registered shares and hold them for two full calendar years. I will then benefit from a 10% increase on dividends received and also 10% on Free Shares distributed.
I therefore benefit from both the tax shield and the Loyalty Bonus for my Air Liquide shares in my Share Savings Plan.
