Guy Salzgeber joined Air Liquide in 1983. Currently, he serves as Executive Vice President in charge of the Industrial Merchant business line as well as the following functions: Innovation, Digital and IT, Safety, Procurement, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development. He also supervises the Global Markets & Technologies activity.
He began his career with Air Liquide as a research engineer at the Paris Innovation Campus (France). In 1987, he was appointed head of the non-cryogenic production research team (VSA, membranes, PSA).
He moved to Gaz Industriels Services (GIS) as Manager for the Customer Service Center in the North of France in 1991. He was appointed Regional Manager in 1993 and then returned to Paris as Industrial Director for GIS in 1995.
In 1997, Guy Salzgeber was appointed Vice President of Industrial Merchant operations for the Group and the following year, he launched the European Platforms.
In 2000, he became Vice President for Strategic Objectives and Control. In 2003, he moved to Tokyo to become the President of Japan Air Gases.
In 2007, Guy Salzgeber took charge of European Industrial activities (Large Industries, Industrial Merchant and Electronics).
Guy Salzgeber has a degree in engineering.
He has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2007.
